H/T to WXRT - Chicago’s Finest Rock, as usual.

Incorrect, Chicago’s finest rock is Chicago. This is really, really good though.

That’s the radio station’s tagline - and it’s accurate, they play a lot of great music.

Oh, well they’re right, if that’s an example. It’s funny what goes on classic rock stations these days. Sometimes I hear 80s pop like Naked Eyes or something. That’s good stuff, but not what I think of as classic rock.

95.9, 97.1, and 97.9 are go-tos, though I haven’t listened to the radio in ages.

They’re not really classic rock - they play more new stuff than anything, but they mix it all in. They’ll go straight from Portugal the Man to Led Zeppelin without missing a beat - and are great at digging out some great classic blues, too.

I actually still listen to it every day in the car- mainly because I like what XRT is doing. Haven’t listened to the others in a while — and I’m in the SW burbs so WIIL doesn’t come in well.

I love that. I’m getting so bored with my daughter’s stations.
